I guess Lindsey got what he wanted.  Alberto Gonzales has resigned as the Attorney General.  Initially he voted against the Alberto Gonzales witch hunt.  However, once it began, he could hardly contain himself and joined right into politicizing the whole matter. 

Since when did it become illegal to fire people that work for you?  How asinine can Lindsey be?  Is he telling us that he has never fired someone that worked for him?

Not only did Lindsey plaster Gonzales for this, but he also joined in the battering over issues that involved enforcing the Patriot Act.  Whether you like or not, he had the job of enforcing the act.  However, as we all know Lindsey is more concerned with the rights of terrorists then protecting the American public. 

The real irony here is that Gonzales was soft on enforcement of illegal immigration.  Given the current climate, I’ll bet Bush will put in a new Attorney General that is much tougher on this topic.  Guess you shot yourself in the foot on that one Mr. Graham.
