Well, well, well,  ole Lindsey has seen the light … or has he?  After calling his constituents racists, befriending the Democrats, and nearly succeeding in granting amnesty to millions of criminals … he now is pursuing legislation to secure borders.  This is precisely what everyone in South Carolina expected to be done.  Not only should existing laws be enforced vigorously, the Swiss cheese border needs to be secured.

There are at least half a dozen major changes in policy we have to make as a nation to get the problems of illegal immigration under control.  The comprehensive approach, where we made all the necessary changes in one fell swoop, failed.  Just because it failed does not mean the problems posed by illegal immigration have gone away.  We're now moving to Plan B.  That will require us to address the major changes that must be made a piece at a time.  Today, we're addressing border security, visa overstays, sanctuary cities, and other important issues.  There's no doubt that operational control of our southern border is a national security imperative.  We must regain control of our border and this much-need emergency funding will play an important role in making that happen.  –Lindsey Graham

Hallelujah!  He has seen the light.  But wait a second; this is the same Senator that had argued that a comprehensive approach to immigration reform was the only way to tackle the issue to attract bipartisan support.  Below are remarks he made during the debate of his Immigration reform bill debacle.

“To my friends who call me endlessly and say just enforce the current law, Lindsey.  Well here's Lindsey's response, I've looked at it and it's unenforceable. “

“…the one-at-a-time approach may prove impossible, even for tougher border-enforcement measures that now seem popular.”

"The only way we're going to get Ag jobs or DREAM Act" or pathways to legal status for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants, Sen. Lindsey Graham said, "is to do it together. This idea of 'Just do the enforcement,' there are no votes for that."

It sure sounds like somebody is speaking out of both sides of their mouth.  Could it be that Mr. Graham is finally worried about his job?  What a hypocrite.  He isn't fooling anyone.  The wool is off this wolf and he can no longer pretend to be conservative just to keep his job.
